Community Based Composting To Convert Manure and organic waste fraction of commercial waste To Resource And Create Livelihood Opportunities

The main objective of the project is to enhance the local community livelihoods opportunities and income generation through implementing community-based aerobic windrow composting project in the governorate of Mafraq and production of high quality manure-based compost fertilizers of a marketing value through local CBOs/NGOs.

Through the Activity “Community Based Composting to Convert Manure Waste to Resource and Create Livelihood Opportunities”, local civil society organization(s) (CBOs/NGOs) will be engaged through an organizational partnership model of 12 months with the key public and private stakeholders’ of the project developed for operating a pilot open windrow composting facility with an intake capacity of 40 tons each day and producing high quality of organic compost fertilizers of a marketing value.
